If you’ve seen and read some bad reviews about the newly released TomTomGPS app for iPhone 3G and 3GS recently, here’s an alternative application we recommend you check out. This TomTom GPS app alternative is NavigonMobile Navigator for iPhone 3G and 3GS.
Though pricing may be an issue for some with its App Store prices ranging from $79.99 to $139.99, it does mean that iPhone users will now have more choices when it comes to choosing the most suitable turn-by-turn GPS car navigation application.Though obviously just an experienc-enhancing accessory and not compulsory, what’s even a greater expense will be the iPhone in-car dock you see in the picture above. The in-car dock which has a separate GPS receiver and hands-free kit integrated is expected to cost quite abit, though precise pricing has yet to be confirmed. The TomTom app for iPhone comes packed with features like tap-and-go (which allows you to tap your way from A to B), go your own way (which allows you to see your way, and to rotate from portrait mode to landscape for a better view), meet up with friend (which gives you the possibility to choose someone from your contacts list, and the app will find a route to your buddy), find a place to eat (which allows you to choose a restaurant, and call to make a reservation, then find the route to the restaurant), smartest routes, and the world at your fingertips among many others.
It’s out! Finally a proper Facebook app update which I have really been looking forward to. The new Facebook app version 3.0 for the iPhone / iPod Touch aims to make staying connected to and sharing updates with your friends an even easier experience than before.
Probably the features which I have personally been most wanting to see is support for landscape mode, zooming photos, seeing latest b-day and updates and of course a complete photo management entirely from your iPhone. For iPhone 3GS users, you will definitely be delighted to know that the new Facebook 3.0 app now finally gives you the ability to upload videos which you have recorded.
